hourThese meatballs are absolutely delicious and among our favorites, thanks to the combination of pork and beef, which gives them a rich and juicy flavor. They come together quickly and effortlessly, and the spices and ingredients are easy to find in any kitchen. All you need is fresh meat and a love for cooking!
Ingredients
500 g mixture of minced pork and beef
2 medium raw potatoes
2 small onions
3-4 cloves of garlic
dill and parsley (optional)
1 egg
50 g breadcrumbs (about 2 tablespoons)
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon smoked sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
oil for frying
Preparation method:
- Helpful Tips:
Add the breadcrumbs gradually to the meatball mixture to achieve the desired consistency. Start with a smaller amount and add more if needed, so that the meatballs are firm but still juicy.
- Once you have your fresh meat ready, start by peeling the potatoes and grating them, making sure to squeeze out any excess water if needed. Next, finely chop the onion and garlic so that the flavors blend beautifully. In a large bowl, combine the meat with the potatoes, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, and spices – salt, pepper, smoked sweet paprika, and thyme. If you like, add some dill and parsley for an extra touch of freshness.

- Next, shape the meatballs with slightly damp hands so the mixture doesn’t stick, ensuring they stay firm on the outside but juicy on the inside.

- Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the meatballs on both sides until they turn a delicious golden brown. Remove them onto paper towels to drain any excess oil.

- These meatballs are delicious with any combination you prefer. You can enjoy them with a fresh salad, mashed potatoes, or a simple side of sautéed vegetables. This time, we chose to serve them with pickles – the perfect balance between the rich flavor of the meat and the tangy freshness of the pickles.
